1 knights fee = about 1 square mile of land producing an agricultural output sufficient to support one knight. Each peasant pays a fee equal to about 1/5 a knights fee per year. It takes about 5 families to work a fee.

32 Knight's Fees = 1 Lord's Duty.
It is traditional to petition a landlord for a small token for a girls dowry when she turns 14
